About Restory

Restory is an AI service that restores and colorizes old, damaged, faded, torn, or black-and-white family photos. You upload a photo, the AI repairs it (and, if you want, colorizes it), and you download the result in about a minute — no software to learn and no waiting on a retoucher.

Why we built it

Restoring a cracked or faded photo of a grandparent used to mean learning the healing brush in Photoshop, or paying a retoucher and waiting two weeks. Restory was built to make that fast, affordable, and accessible to anyone with a phone and a box of old prints — while being honest about what AI does well and where it still falls short.

How it works

There are three modes: Restore (fix damage, keep it black and white), Colorize (add natural color), and Full (both). Standard results come back at roughly 1024px on the long edge; higher-resolution 2K re-renders and 4K upscales are available as paid options. Billing is credit-based with no subscription, and every account gets one free photo to try first.

Founder

Restory is founded and operated by Bohdan Labunets, who builds and runs the product and answers support directly. You can reach him at support@restory.online or on Instagram. As the named operator, he is also the data controller for the purposes of the GDPR.

Privacy & transparency

Restory is GDPR-compliant: you can delete your account and all associated data at any time. Uploaded images are processed to generate your result and are not used to train models. Payments are handled by our Merchant of Record, Creem. See our Privacy Policy, Terms, and Contact pages for full details.
