Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Restory ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

Restory is operated by Bohdan Labunets, Private Entrepreneur (FOP), registered at 15 Mykoly Kybalchycha St., Apt. 71, Kyiv, 02218, Ukraine ("we", "us"). You can contact us at support@restory.online or +48 507 284 944. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

2. Description of Service

Restory provides an AI-powered photo restoration and colorization tool. The Service utilizes credit-based billing. One credit entitles you to one successful photo processing event. If the underlying AI generation fails, the credit is automatically refunded to your account.

3. User Responsibilities & Content Guidelines

You retain all ownership rights to the photos you upload. By uploading a photo, you grant Restory a limited, temporary license to process the photo for the sole purpose of returning the restored result to you.

You agree NOT to use the Service to upload or process:

  • Content that is illegal, non-consensual, explicit, or violates the privacy rights of others.
  • Content that infringes upon the copyright or intellectual property rights of third parties.

4. Third-Party AI Processors

You understand and explicitly agree that to provide our AI enhancements, your uploaded photos are securely transmitted to our third-party AI provider, OpenAI. This is a fundamental requirement for the Service to function. Your use of the Service constitutes your agreement to this data processing arrangement as outlined in our Privacy Policy.

5. Refunds and Billing

Credits purchased through Paddle, our Merchant of Record, are generally non-refundable once used successfully. However, if the Service fails to process your image due to technical errors, your credit will not be deducted. Unused credits are covered by our 30-day money-back guarantee (see our Refund Policy). All refunds are processed by our Merchant of Record, Paddle.com, according to our Refund Policy. For billing disputes, please contact our support team.

6. Delivery & Fulfillment

Restory sells digital credits. Upon successful payment, credits are delivered instantly to your Restory account balance and can be used immediately to process photos. There is no physical shipment. If you experience any delay or error in receiving your credits, please contact our support at support@restory.online and we will resolve it promptly.

7. Limitation of Liability

The Service and its AI-generated outputs are provided "as is". While we strive for the highest quality, AI restoration may produce unexpected artifacts. We are not liable for any historical inaccuracies or subjective dissatisfaction with the AI-generated results. Our total liability to you for any claims arising from the use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the credits in question.

8. Termination & Data Deletion

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms of Service or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

In compliance with global data protection laws—including GDPR (Europe), CCPA (United States/California), and APPI (Japan)—you may terminate your agreement with us at any time by deleting your account via the Settings page. Doing so will permanently erase all your uploaded images, generated images, and personal account data from our servers.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes. Your continued use of the Service following such notice constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
